Description

I’Morino is the estate blend from Tenuta La Vigna, just few bottles (2000/year) for this very pleasant blend of Sangiovese (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (50%). Cabernet Sauvignon grapes add noblesse and ageing potential to this wine that, despite the blend with French grape, shown it Tuscan character at the first sip. It will improve with some years of ageing in bottle.

Production technique:

Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are hand harvested during the first two weeks of October, soft pressed and destemmed, they ferment with the skins for 15/20 days in temperature control (26°/28°C) steel vats. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is racked in cement vats where it develop the malo-lactic fermentation and mature for 6 months.

Organoleptic features:

Intense ruby red colour, fresh and nice smell with red fruit notes, well balanced, soft and tasty
